“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.
-Isaiah 43:18-21

Every new year brings a chance for a new start. It is a time to reflect on the past, and look forward to the future. There is an air of excitement and anticipation for what the year will bring. Fathers, the Lord has great plans in store for you. Just as it was for the Jewish people who were captives in Babylon, God has plans for the welfare of the one who put his trust in Him. And these plans are intended to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). He wants to use each one of you to be a blessing to your family. So my question for you is do you trust Him? Are you willing to allow Him to take the reigns of your life? I know life is uncertain and difficult, but God, who is 100% trustworthy, controls the future. So let go and let God have His way in your life. You will never regret it!
Father, thank you for keeping us for another year. Thank you for being faithful. Help us to let go and trust in you and to let you lead us as we lead our families. May we declare your praise everyday of our lives. In Jesus name, Amen.
